I've used this bar about a dozen times and it is very smooth. I use the smallest fangs and it goes in and out effortlessly. The only time it releases is if I twisted it a bit with my hand, but if anything it teaches you not to hold the bar too tight and let the harness do the work. Also I used to ride shackled and last time I went out I forgot my harness and had to use my wife's. Yes it was a bit snug luckily! I never came out and I think I might go back to the simple hook style. Smooth, simple bar, I love simple.

got mine about a month ago now. it's great and hooking in and out is simple and easy. The only concern i have with the bar is that QR systems on both the loop and leash don't always release. Problem is the velcro system that's used, uses too much. I've easily fixed it by using an extra piece to cover off some of the velcro ... does that make sence? anyway, i've only tried the QR in a controlled situation with the kite in many power zones, from min to max power, and it NEVER fully released without a little extra coaching until i did my little fix. Winds were about 25-30 km flying an ARC 840. anyway, that's just my opinion, but i have seen others say the same thing.
