hi
I want to be kiteboarder!
... but firstly I need some advice.

I'm 70 kg weight, totally beginner, with light winds.

Is Wipika 11 sqm (2000) good for me? (size of bar? 60,70,80?)

Witch board is better - big directional or big TT?

If I buy TT 180cm large for beginning/intermediate and 150cm directional for intermediate - is this good choice?
Or maybe the other way round 180 direct. for beginning and 160 TT for a later time.

Thx for all answers !

based on my own experience, i found it easier to start out on a larger directional, and then go to the smaller tt when i became more experienced. having said that, however, i do know people who have started out on the smaller tt. it was my observation that these people did struggle to learn on the smaller tt. i think that a 180 directional is not a bad size to learn on.

as for kite size, how light is light winds ?

see ya

I learned on a big directional as well, but there was nothing else around.
If I would have the choice today I would start with a 180 TT. Most people ride on a TT now, if they are advanced. So you can skip the hassle with the jibes. At the beginning it might be a little bit more difficult but then you will have more fun on the water.
In general a kite of 11 sqm surface area is a good choice to start with.

Very thx for replies.

I think I’ll buy a 180 cm asymmetrical TT (shorter side is 160).

I still consider the length of bar. As you know this 11sqm Wipika is ready to use with both 2 and 4 line - what bar you proposed?

You know, where I live kites are rare like water on a desert so I don't have choice, but what you can tell me about this Wipika kite? (It's 2000 version)

the bar depends on how fast the kite is.
the 2000 model shouldn't be that fast.
you have to test it, if you can, to decide which size to choose. Also try shorter lines if it handles better with it.
