What is the biggest boosting, longest hang time kite a 75kg rider can have in these conditions.
I have a 20m X2 which is great and tried a 17m Slingshot Fuel that didn't seem to have the same punch in those conditions although it was probably better in transitions and certainly easier. I use to have a 16m Rhino which I liked once I got used to it but it was not good enough upwind (if you can't go upwing you cannot jump in normal conditions).
Is there a better jumping machine than the 20 X2 for a lightweight like me?

Just confirming that the 20m X2 is the daddy(certainly if you don't weigh 25 stone).
Have to replace my fav the 14m with something. I am tempted to buy 15 and 11 Singshots but my current feeling is buy the same again. More testing will confirm.

My 18m Rhino2 jumps better than a friends 20 X2 in 10-12 knots... I've not tried the 20m Rhino2 but think it would possibly have the best hangtime for an lei of that size

Does the Rhino still go upwind though? My conclusions from general feeback is that it pulls more sideways. Not having used it I stand to be corrected.

Today, see pictures Andy, I measured a measily 8-11 knots. Sometimes less then 8 and max about 12/13 knots.
Going strong were a.o R2-18, R2-14, AMP10.3(14 plat), X2-12 or 14(very leight guy - about 60kg) and Skoop1-17.
I rode my AMP11.9(16.2 flat) and went pretty good too.
But what really makes a real big difference is the board. And not really the lenght but more the width and how flat(more or less rocker) I could try a couple of boards. It looked like the rockerline even more then the width.
Have you tried a wide and flat board but still short? Like 140 x 41wide.
With such a board, you'll be all set with an 16-17m kite.
Made a hell of a difference in comparison to my "slow" Drake.
(Drake is fantastic in medium and high winds)

The old 16 Rhino did sit farther back in the window that other kites. Its not like that with any of the Rhino2s.
