I live across the street from a small salt water bay that's great for kayaking but not kiting.

But here on the Cape we can kite any wind direction and have our choice of wave conditions all within a short drive. That's why we love it here even though it's snowing right now! :shake:

Go to this site http://www.kitebeachbrighton.com for my web cam and live weather station.
The view is from the front room of my house looking over the park out to were we kite.
The room is called "Shades of Blue". Blue sky & blue water every bloody day. After a kite session grab a cold drink and sit back and watch the local crew try to hospitalize themselves.
This realy is gods country.

I work 800 meter from the beach. I can see the kites from the office window. Further more there is an offshore windmill park at a reef a few kilometers out in the sea. From the windows you can see the mills turning, and you can log on to them http://www.middelgrund.com and see the power and direction of wind. It's great when the surf is up, and you have the time to leave work, but it can be realy frustrating the days where you have to stay at work the whole day and you can see your mates having fun at the beach.
Last summer I had my kitegear under my desk, so I could grab it and head for the beach on the big days :-)

Hang loose

I stay a long way away from the beach and an hour away from the nearest lake so this is what we're forced to resort to when there is no wind.
