Thanks Peter,
That is a good point and I just realized that if I manually empty my cache and clear the history, I am able to get the forum up without locking up.
What is weird is that I have had no trouble until last week. I wonder if there are new ads that have been added at the bottom of the page since then??
I hope this can be resolved because I have to use Internet Explorer due to the way we backup, and I need my fix of Kiteforum.

Try turning off Java in the browser and see if that helps.

I'm using a Mac running Mac OS 10.2.4 and using Mozilla 1.3 as my browser.
I've had no problems loading the Forum and any other site but when I used tabbed browsing and have the Forum as one of the tabs, the banner ads on the bottom of the Forum page show through on every other page. You'll be reading some website and the banners appear on the bottom of that page annoyingly.
This has only happened in the past week or so about the time the banners at the bottom of the page were done.
I can deal with the problem OK, I just have the Forum on its own untabbed page. But the problems experienced by others and myself seem to point towards some non standard Java or similar in the Forum page banners at the bottom.
BTW I find that Mozilla craps on Explorer and introduces no Microsoft DNA into my user experience!
Have fun, Dave (Dr Surf Australia)

Hello, other Mac user here.
The bad news area strange behaveaur, longer to load and freezing IE.
It seems that the applet that loads the bottom page adds is not very mac friendly.
I'm using MacOs 9,1 and IE 5.0.
Previously everything was working perfectly at this site.
Keep your good work and save our little Mac lifes!!

I have desabled Java at IE prefs. The adds have dissapeared. The site works better, no freezes.
(I'm the last guest, now logged in. I had several problems with the log in too)
