Hi Guys,
I saw at one F-One Mach1 that due to the carbon batten some seams rub of.
The pull goes toward the direction of the batten therfore it rubs at the seams.
Who already is using one, please let us know, if you see anything on your kite or if it was just one kite having this problem.
If anyone from F-One is reading this, please check back with your R&D department to avoid it.
It is a great kite but would be sad if it has a small problem, which can be solved easily.

Hello Toby,
I have an Airush lift 12,2 and a friend told me they have the same problem so I just put some plastic tape at the end of the batten to avoid that the batten is in direct contact with the kite material.
I think is a good solution cheap and fast.
The Peter Lynn Arc come with a soft plastic cup at both end to solve this problem.

Hi Jankie,
I think this doesn't work.
A seam with sharp edges rips it of, so it is not the battens itself causing it.
hard to explain, but maybe if you tape it, too, it could work.

I had 20 + sessions with my 15.1 Mach1 and I don't have this problem.

I have noticed (I am a kitesurfing gear retailer) some friction in the following kites:
Cabrinha BT 2002, Airush Lift, Naish Aero, F One Mach 1 , North Rhino, Windtech Rebel. That is, all the kites with battens in the tips. But please do not panic. If you just glue a small patch of any friction-resistant cloth in the point were the tip of the batten touches the leading edge bladder, the deal is done. And your kite will have an infinite life if you check it out periodically. I think that the improvement in kite-flying the battens deliver is worth some attention from the owner. But yes, kite makers should had taken more care of this from a beginning.
