Mini-review Peter Lynn F-ARC

forum for kitesurfers

Dear Kiters!
The f-ARC is definitely not a kite we should talk about. Cause its dangerous. And everybody reading this messages thinks. Oh great, much power, even possible to relaunch,...bla bla bla... There is a very big differece between normal arcs and the f-arc. You can start the arc easy. its easy to handle. you can relaunch it easily. With the f-arc starting is dabgerous, cause the kite needs lot of air inside. If its not enough it starts to ratate and flys directla in the powerzone. And keeps on rotating. and so on.... Relaunch - Yeah if you have lots of time and a lot of luck - why not. If you like to take risks, go to the casino. There you can win sometimes. F-arcs are for absolut perfect kiteboarders who need the thrill. And for nobody else. And if you are a really good kiteboarder you would change to a professional tubekite.

i haven't tried the f-arc yet, but i think most of your concerns about it are very simple to explain:

i suppose you used tubekites ever since you've
started kitesurfing ?

the f-arc is no tubekite and won't handle like one concerning jumping, start & landing & flying in general ...

Hi Bernie,
I know you are a more than advanced kiter.
But didnt you also tell us, a stacked arc would be difficult to relaunch from water?
This is not true, in fact it is more easy than to relaunch a tube, specially if there is low wind!
The usual arc also has a very different behaviour than a tube.
Maybe it is just a question of what u are used too.
The better the wind-conditions and your
level of riding the more you like tubes.

I think I recognize Bernies typical narrowminded arguments, so it must be Bernie Kudernatsch.

This guy is well known here in Austrias growing kite scene as a very weird person who talks a lot of bullshit, 2 years ago he was telling everyone that windools mosquitos are perferct kites for our gusty inlandlake Conditions and learned the hard way by loosing the first austrian championships due to the fact that he wasnt able to relaunch his mosquito foil which he was flying 2-line instead of 4 or 3 line ,-) man he was pissed - so he switched to Naish's, badmouthed any foil from that day on and lost and destroyed a lot of Naishkites but told everyone that naishs are the must have kites (maybe due to the fact that he got sponsored by a friend who happens to be the naish importer for austria ?).

Dont't take this guy serios, sometimes he is indeed a good kiter (if he is in the right mood - which doesnt seem to happen very often), but generally this guy is nuts and insults everybody all the time.

You are welcome!
I read this forum sporadicly due to my busy work, but this time I had to write !
People like this guy can make forums almost useless, because they "forget" to mention that they talk about their personal preferences AND their personal limits of ability, and for an additional laugh: he also badmouthed normal arcs in two of the local austrian forums and claimed they wouldn't relaunch - now he says they do relaunch easy ??
Funny guy isn't he?

In my opinion the best local east austrian forum can be found at

The other one is bernies "own" forum which is more like a boulevard newspaper of kiteboarding ,-) -->

Have Fun

Thanks Peter from Austria!
If you got any problem with me, give me a call and we talk about it. Funny storys you are telling about me. Is this all true about me? f***, i must be real nice person. Thanks that you told me this.

But i dont care about you.

Back to my opinion about the arc.
I was the austrian distributor of windtools for the last 3 years. So i am really used to soft kites. I am teaching with soft kites sometimes in my school. i have been to DR for 2 month this winter, testing nearly every kite on the market. So know the difference between soft and Tube kites. i´m still of the opinion, that the f arc is a kite for very good kiters only. And if normal people read about this kite, they maybe get a wrong impression and then they get in troubles, cause they cant handle it.

MAN - your phone must be ringing all the time
-why don't you post your number so I can give you a call on how to behave in discussion forums ?

Ok this guy insulted you, so you have to insult him right back ? smart move for an adult (i suppose ?) maybe you should adjust your attitude and manners a little bit you are not alone on this planet.

and btw do you really think people are so stupid that they will buy f-arcs as beginners - everyone knows they are for experienced kiters only even peter lynn says so - so what are you talking about ? your posts don't make too much sense to me
