 Post subject: Helmet Saves Kiteboarder?

Another interesting account from the BKSA list about a kiteboarder being lofted on to some rocks, hitting his head and having his helmet split off of his head from the force of the impact. He survived and it would seem likely that the helmet figured prominently in this positive outcome.

Safety gear is for just in case as you don't always know when something may go wrong. It would be good to try to stack the outcome of such incidents in your favor. Most people have reported that they forget they are wearing thjs gear shortly after they put it on. This is a good time to look for a helmet and impact vest with the warmer months coming on in the northern hemisphere.
