My girlfriend is starting to get pretty decent on the water and I keep wondering if she has the right gear for learning. She is about 5'4" and about 105 lbs or about 46 kg. In the 10 to 15 mph wind range she rides a 12m kite, is this the right size? What about winds in the 15 to 20 mph range, what size kite should she be using?
For background, she is starting to head upwind (not consistently though) and rides a 140cm picklefork.
Thanks for the help!

At 15-20, a 10m would be better. My wife rides the 10m a lot.
The board shouldn't be over 14" wide. Thin and narrow, or they bounce all over the place.

Thanks dwight, I already have that size too so I guess we're doing alright. I'll get a chance on Sunday to send her out and see how it goes.
Thanks!
