toby announced it already, naish has released two new bindings to the market, and as bengan said, they're already availlable here in egypt ...
wakestyle's dead - i don't care that much, i still like the non freedom of riding locked in
here's what i can say so far about these products:
presto:
it's a laced binding, much like the cabrinha axis pro without the strap.
there's two independend laces, one working for the lower end (you can keep this one tight) and one to fix the ankle.
the entry and exit is superfast, no problem to get into the binding with a kite in the air, even in gusty conditions.
the presto is supersoft and allows you to move your ankles in an unusal big
range, really hard tweaked grabs are possible, the sole is very soft as well and absorbs shocks pretty well.
IMO, the binding is too flexible, but that's just a matter of taste.
reload:
a bit higher and a bit bigger than the presto.
it's locked on the top with a velcro and the ankle is fixed with a strap.
the ankle-strap has a nice release-system - a rope between the bindings, opening both cleats when pulled.
easy and fast entry/exit here as well - getting your feet in fast is possible, the ankle-straps are tightened by pulling big, good reachable handles,
the velcros work like on the nsi tantrum.
handling the ankle-straps is so fast that one only needs to bother with the velcros.
this binding is giving a lot more support than the presto and is stiffer, locking in the ankle more - but still has a certain ammount of flexibility.
i got the reload set up ready but had no chance to ride it, yet - report follows.
