First of all.. is it any good?? what windspeeds does it work in.. are the ones in the kiteboarding magazine feb/mar correct? Is it good for jumping? is it radical, relentless, extreme like naish say it is? like to hear your comments on it, if you have used it?

Aloha/ Otg

will it be such a big difference to the R3?
It may turns faster and has more power/lift.

But didn't see any yet and I even don't know if it is available anywhere yet

Hi, I bought myself a virus 9....whitout having seen or tested one. djeez, a beautifull carbonbar....but way to short; even when flying xxtra powered-up (solid5bft)
and high tension on the lines, the kites reacts very, very sloppy. It get a little better with a 60cm slingshot bar.
The harnasloop is great, pretty stiff...but I'm at the point off replacing it, but nor the bar neither the loop is sold separately(bummer)
The adjustability of the bridle is not anywhere near versatile and functional as the bridle on the wipika inferno. Goodthing is that it's a little thicker, but that doesn't help and doesn't solve the adjustment problem.
The kite is fitted with 4line-flight connector, why....I don't need that xtra weight?!
The 4line flying is 'asi-asi' as the say in spain. My FreeAir2001 flies better on 4lines.
When I pivot the bar...crank the crap out of the kite, the tips tend to moves in to each other>>bummer
Well...the only good thing is that the phisical quality is, like most 2002Naish stuff, exellent.
The kite looks great too, it hangs over fireplace, waiting for the next fool.

But, I use my modified 7.1 freeAir and my 9inferno, the virus is passe!
MistuWainman, you better endorse wipika or airush!!

Hello all,

I agree, there is not enough info for he Virus. Does anyone know its aR ?

I have an 11.0 and I tthink its the best medium AR wing i have seem. I have flown Wipi, takoon, PL, and witth this wing it is a question of learning the characteristics of tthe kite and its flight. It is Very powerful and generates so much speed on the upstroke of a powerdive that it can make you jump without trying.

Also, it can overpower you easily in the window giving you a pull over on to your front. All I can say is if you master the technique with this wing - you wont want to put it down. BTW I fly itt in 4 line config.

If anyone has more info PLEASE post it!!

GoodWinds.

R.

Anyway, I think that lou left NAISH. Now he can't even use the kites made for him.

hi
According to this dutch mag that I have here, the virus AR's are similar to those of the Naish's R3 kites. So, I guess if you have some data on R3 you know what the AR of all Virus are.
This 9(medium) has a AR of 3.5 that's what I know for sure!
