Hello

I'm 62kg and ride a Wave Tray 147.

I'm thinking of getting 2 or 3 Mach1 kites out of : 9.1 / 12.1 / 15.1

I estimate that for me, the FUN (= powered up) wind-range will be as follows :

9.1 in 20 - 30 knots
12.1 in 16 - 22 knots
15.1 in 12 - 17 knots

I will definitely get the 12.1 since this is the kite I'll be using the most and would also like to have the 9.1 for those very windy days.

My question is : can I use the 12.1 down to 12/13 knots and still have fun or do I have to get 15.1 as well ?

Also feel free to comment on my wind-range estimates for each of the above kites.

ps. I'm new to this forum and I have a MastAir 12 for sale in excellent condition. Can I post a message regarding this asking if anyone is interested ?

Thx everyone

Mike

Hi Mike,
You might consider adding even more range and skip the 15.0 and get the 18.0. I just sold my Mastair 12.0, and replaced it with an 18.0. I believe the 18 generates similar power if you work it in light air. That would bring you down to 9-11 kts,
good luck/Lane

F-one is a great kite. I have the 9.1 and the 12.1 I live in Aruba. we have average wind around 15mph to 25mph.
I use the 12.1 the most. If it's very windy i will go out with the 9.1
The day's we get under the 15 mph winds i have to sit on the beach. I have just ordered a 15.1 and then i think i'm ready to kite here in Aruba everyday of the year.
