Low wind yes, but 4 to 6 knots is not wind!!!!!
Yesterday we had 8 to 9 knots directly onshore, but the temp is now 40C and when it is hot we find that we need one more knot than say in 28C. A friend (Ray) who is 68kg's used my kite, was staying upwind and doing backloops, frontloops and single & double backloop transitions. My 85kg's was to much for the wind and although I could stay upwind (ie. off the beach) it was a constant struggle.
Ray's comments were that the kite is extremely smooth with a very light bar and most of the pull is on the harness. Reminded him of his 2001 11.8 Airblast. Kite was set up on the very front pigtail and very rear back pigtail. We tried the back front pigtail, but the wind had dropped 1/2 a knot and Ray said he could feel no more power on the bar.
We were both on my wide TT 150X44.
Going away tomorrow to Oman for the weekend, and should have 22 - 27 knots cross shore, and temp around 28C. Can't wait.
