i have head or the forum that some guys use retractable dog leashes as board leash.
seems to me it is not a joke , as in my local store i found a 6 meter leash for BIG DOGS.
looks pretty solid. i wonder if 6 meters is ok , what is the usual length of reel leashes?
another thing is mechanism. what will be the effect of salt water? what do you think?

since those things have springs in them, i am sure that the metal in them will not be rust resistant..
or am i wrong?

Dogleash for a really big dog should however cost about the same as one made for the job - try to contact
marc@goextreme.dk for a quote on the real thing - which I've used for nearly 2 years and I still don't understand why they're not part of EVERYBODY'S kite kit. No more drinking seawater whilst bodydraggin'
