Gin sponsored the US Open Snowkite Masters event last week, and sent over a batch of Zulu 3 kites to demo.
We've had the 11 and 13 meter Zulu's on the snow in winds from single digit to low 20 mph range... and I must say that I have been truly impressed with the kites reactive characteristics and raw horsepower.
The Zulu 3 seems to do everything really well. It has a fast speed across the window, taking it upwind easily. The kite turns quick, and when looping it delivers huge amounts of power (looping uphill on snow that is). All in all it was a really fun kite to fly.
Just curious if anyone else has been on the Zulu 3... and what your feelings are?
i had the first gen zulu in a 7 and thought it was an excellent kite. for a 7, it wasn't too fast and stayed stable in the jumps. the loops produced a lot of power, way more than i was expecting for a 7. the bridle was simple with a fixed rear attachment which i really liked. it was like my havoc's in shape and i felt it was a nice compliment to the 10.
