I am currently having a custom 138cm board built. The design incorporates a concave bottom ie. a rail along the entire side. (Can I tell you how excited I am to ride this cadillac!!!)

I have the option of going with built in asymetrical fins or inserts (for fins). My intuition says I am going to bust a fin off one day so I am more inclined to go with inserts. This gives me the option of easy repairs and have the option of changing fins.

Does anyone have any information with regard to a correct kiteboarding fin? Narrow, wide, long or short? Does size of the rider matter much? (I am a pipsqueak at 110lbs)

Is it imporatant to have asymmetrical fins or would wakeboarding fins suffice? The mounting holes are all the same so the decision is vauge.

Any fin education or links would be zope..
In advance, thanks for your help.

Do a search for "Tariffa fin company", loads of info and spot on fins.
