New Board Design

Postby Toby » Thu Jun 19, 2003 10:15 am

I'm working on board number 3's design and would appreciate your
feedback. I'm a big guy (245 lbs) and the wind conditions are
usually fairly light (10 - 18 knots) and my main kite is now a North
Rhino II 20m.

This board will replace my faithful Gorge Animal 186cm x 47cm with
it's heavy weight and slow rocker.

The new board will be 160cm x 46cm with about 4 cm of elliptical
rocker (flatter in the mid-section, but not entirely flat).

The planned layup is:

6oz warp oriented e-glass
12oz biaxial e-glass
1/4" divinycel foam
1/4" divinycel foam (tapered at the ends)
6oz warp oriented e-glass
1/4" divinycel foam
12oz biaxial e-glass
6oz warp oriented e-glass

Thanks to all for your help,

Paul
