Hey shapers!
Been good sailing here again and the ideas being tossed around about
new shapes.
This weekend here in Ktown was great big kite small board chop
action. My brother and I were using the X2 20 on the 120x33 I made
this winter and it just makes sailing lit so easy. For sure the
bottom end is reduced but the top is increased dramatically. I am
going to try a 120 c 40ish next.
I was sitting in our zodiac watching the water flow across the board
and even in light air the amount of wetted surface is so small,
about 2ft by 4in to nothing triangle!! So small boards should always
work with the right skill but there seems to still be a lower limit
where big boards work better. Maybe really fast kites and really
small boards are the scoop.
