what straps and pads did you use ?

Nice looking board. Dead ringer for one I made recently (except you have better workmanship).

One thing I noticed was that you had sharp rails. The expert board riders will tell you this great for performance, and it probably is. As a beginner though, I found I was bruising myself of the sharp rails and I've since sanded them off.

i have now - but im a beginner and haven't tried much else so can't really tell you what it's like compared to other boards. The guys at the shop said it would be a great upwind board though


simple non-adjustable NSI straps - pads were just some rubbery stuff with grip that my local kite shop had.


They're not very sharp - they still have small rounded edges - haven't hurt myself on it yet, but then again i've only been out with it once

Could you tell a little bit more about making the rocker.



You said, you wetted it...do you mean you simply put it in the water?
what next...then you put it to the rocker table...and then you glue???
Or you glue before puting on the table, after the wetting?

i tried to find an answere from the forum but coldnt find it....could somebody help.
1 more question: do you always install fins to the board with a rocker.
Or only flat board are without fins?

Wetted - yes I put the ply into the water for 24 hours. And after that into the rocker table and the whole thing into the 90 Celsius heat (sauna). And let it be in 90 C heat for 3-4 hours and turned the heat off, nut let the baird stay in the "after heat" for 20 hours. No glue at all. I used one layer of 9 mm ply.

This wetting+heat method is the same as is used in the furniture manufacturing.

I use always fins+ rocker. I have not tried flat + without fins at all.
