JUst found out about Board Builders.
First Bamboo skin board. Goes upwind great and holds lots of power, but need to add fins for waves and downwind runs.

The veneer comes on 60cm wide rolls and about 6cm diameter, 0.5mm thick. One roll is enough to apply one layer to do a kite board. Then you cover with one layer of light glass. (All epoxy)

The bamboo adds strengh and has a great natural fiber look, but careful, even at only 0.5mm thick, it can get heavy when laminating more than one layer.

Got a roll from the local custom surf board, sailboard shop, East Winds of NW Florida. They do awesome bamboo skin and glass epoxy surfboards, very light and strong.
Don't know his source now. He said it's cut in China.
