using a glass veil on honeycomb is to stop it wetting through into the voids when you come to wet out the top layer of glass. basically it's a frig to allow you to wet build, as part of a two shot cure process, with a material that was only ever designed to be used with pre-impregnated resin free fibre products.

if you want to stop nomex from delaminating in a structure then the best thing you can do is sand the horizontal edges of the top and bottom surface of the nomex sheet, until it goes slightly furry, this increases the effective bonding surface nearly 200%.

dont wet layup, nomex, it's a waste of good nomex. stick to foam as you'll never get 60% of the performance of the nomex core in the finished product.

All the boatbuilders in the world must be wrong then .We dont use nomex .It was a figure of speach to use the veil. Use a carbon veil its lighter,or you can use a carbon nomex or plastic nomex.For our boards we use a foam thats made for us.As to resin getting in the nomex ,it depends which way you lay it up.Everone thinks there way is best which is cool.

but sealing with a veil topsheet, the process you refer too, has nothing to do with sealing a core, which you do to remove dust and give a good base to laminate against..

all of which has nothing to do with nomex or other honeycomb cores, which you would never use with wet layup, unless you wanted to waste your time and money completely.

wow, you get a foam blown just for your boards, you must be making 1000's of them a year to demand that sort of support from a foam supplier.
