Gel Coat-works good, heavy some manufactures use it.
I like Pasti-a-cote -goes on smooth, drys fast and you can kill brain cells in the process. You need to be 18 to buy it, its basically model paint.

You can use any marine grade topside paint on epoxy. For the best results you need to prime the board first. You can go with a one part or two part paint. The two part is more expensive but works much better. Check out this site, http://www.jamestowndistributors.com. They have a great variety of paints. The one part paints are quick and easy but are not as durable. There are a few brands that make good paints, Interlux and Epifanes.

I used the Interlux Brightside paint and did not like the durability. Talked with a guy at Jamestown Distributors today about it. He said he likes the Interlux Toplac. This is also a one-part paint. Epoxy paint should be best for durability, but I've got no experience with it. Rogue Wave was on another thread saying that they used automobile paint which is a two part formula. Says it is most durable. However, it is very expensive, and I think you have to spray it (i.e. no brushing).
