Sizes you mentioned both sound good. 160X50cm is the magic number with ply doors, bigger, smaller, wider, skinner, shape are preferances, thats why you get 2 or 3 so boards out of a piece of .5 in AC ply.

So are you saying that 170x50 for very light wind sound good for you? I'm little heavy (90Kg)
And Bigger, what do you think?

Don't forget the most critical length determinant.
"will it fit in your boot/trunk"
Personally I am a light wind tryer and feel that much over 150 is not necessary if coupled with wide (>45). ( I am 95kg).

If you are asking me, my Ply board is 148 x 48.
It was longer but I had to buzz it because it didn't fit the boot (I don't think it affected the light wind level)
ps. I have just ordered an Underground 152x44. Mainly because after years of riding plys I just decided I wanted a production unit with the lighter weight etc.
Cheers

Hey Lord,
What is your weight cos that's a critical factor?
At 95 kgs I use a 142/40 UG as my main board but my big board gets me going way earlier.
I understand a 140/40 could be a lightwind board for someone lighter.

Hi,
I'm 90kg, and I've also a 144x40 board, this is the reason because i'm looking for a bigger board
Which technique do you use for paiting your board?
Regards
Enzo
