A gift for my pal the 25 yr. veteren wave ripper of Florence

Yo Blowhard, this board is a very innovative concept. Looks like a clean build. How does it ride backwards with that large fin in the front. Guess it was meant to ride toeside more often than backwards. I built a similar mutant type board with even smaller fins that ocasionally caught when riding it backwards. I've since given up on mutants and stick to assymeterical twintips as my chosen medium. But for riding waves, this board must charge. Bravo for the innovation!!!

you are so right,
make em long 5' , single 4.5" fin on the pinner end then it won't catch , It's all you need with a pintail,with the small bow on the way out it's very shippy , the big end never pearls on the way down the line ,tons of rocker 2" on the pinner and 1 3/4 on the big end ,be sure to put your feet in the middle of the mass ,,not the board ,buttloads of concave 1/2",and flat in the pinner end ,

then everybody that rides waves and stays to windward will have one ,
my pals say that they have never been on a board that goes to windward so well ,I just do it to operate one size smaller kite ,
Hein, calls them Transverse Assymetricle Twintips ,
I never ride toeside and the fin never catches unless you go flat (I dislike both )

Howzit Blowhard; Really enjoy your innovative designs; just might try another mutant type in the future. Just finished my new assy. twintip today; minutes ago I put the pads, fins and straps on and it's eady to rock. Too bad we're into a light wind period as we speak, but maybe it's good to let the board cure for a while. I will post pictures of my whole home made quiver one of these days; to date 7 foam/glass boards of various lengths. First I have to figure out the whole digital camera thing. Ah, something new to learn. Well bro, good on ya; keep building and riding!!!
