Played around with some airbrush paint for a customer. It's a 125 x 38 with a custom vee in the tips.

The fins are my design and are only foiled on the outside. I also toe the tip of the fin in towards the center line of the board. This is all surfboard tech. I have tried the fins in different locations but by putting the fins to the outmost location next to the rail you get maximum grip while edging. I design most of my boards for actual wave riding and this combination of fin foil and placement work best for wave riding.
Also the way the concave is shaped into the board everything inside of the fin line is not flat. The fin wouldn't sit flat on the curve of the concave.
I have a wake style board that I make that is flat in the tail. For that board the fins are a bit more inboard for better release and less catching when landing blind.
My apologies for not replying sooner. I usually troll the regular forum more.

so you think inboard 1 3/4" and up about 6 3/4" is too tracky?
what do you think about single 4 3/4" surf fin ?
