Arboright base on kiteboard

Postby Dockmonkey1 » Thu Apr 05, 2007 8:42 pm

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has experimented with using arborite (counter top) on the bottom of their plywood kiteboard. How did you apply it. Did you use contact cement or Epoxy? Did you seal the wood with Polyurethane before gluing the arborite?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Pipodayo for the reply.

I was speaking with some others and they mentioned the use of Contact Cement.
I was thinknig I could use the west system exopy and hardner that I used to laminate my board. One guy said that the arborite would just fall off I did this...

Also I'm not sure what Herex is.. I guess that is why I'm looking at other options.

I should mention that I'm new to board building and wood working all together. However I'm learning fairly quickly. So any tips are welcomed.

Thanks again
