Hear snowboard press is far better than vac bag for boards. Anyone here do it, and any other alternatives instead of having to bye your own press? Opinions very welcome.

Vacuum bag is most common because it is fairly easy to do and gves good clamping pressure up to 1atm.
Snowboard type presses of course can do much higher pressures, giving a stronger bond with less glue. Especially important in production techniques gluing different materials together, quickly, with maximum strength.
It is a very involved and expensive technique, but there may be cheaper adaptations, for example, I have used a self-inflating camping mattress in a board press with good results for laminating foam/plywood boards.
Not wanting to pop my mattress, I limited pressure to a guesstimated 1atm. Or so.
Search it on the boards forum under my username.
I found it easier than vacuum but vacuum is better though, especially if you are laminating glass.
IMHO.
