Fairing compound

Postby Johnny Rotten » Thu Mar 12, 2009 3:28 am

Hey guys, thanks a lot for all your help so far,

Hopin to post some pics soon but still looks a little disgraceful until I get it painted.

I want to paint my board and need a fairing compound, to even out laminating flaws and fibre read through after sanding. Is there a problem using microballoons + epoxy, on a board ie. is it overly porous (will absorb water)

Is there something better that's relatively lightweight and easy to sand.

I have used the 3M glass bubbles for fairing. Works great. Not porous, dries hard, and sands very well.
