hi all
This is my new polyurethane and divinicell hybrid kite board. Thought i'd take u guys thru the build.

i started out with a regular poly surf blank planed out the deck, to apply the divinicell for strength on the deck. Next day finish shaping the board and routed out bottom tabs to insert divinicell for the Future boxes to be glassed in before glassing with carbon fiber. More pics soon.

I had the chance to ride the F-One 5'2" in Baja during the Kiteboarding Event in Jan..The board was awesome in the small waves, while I was riding the 6m Epic Renegade..I was told it was their small wave board, for light weight riders..I am 180#, and the board rode great in the 3 to 4 ft waves there...This board looks just like it, but with a different front-end..I hope that you put some more nose rocker in it, because the F-One was just a bit to flat on the nose, could have been a little bit more "turned up"..F-One also had it in a tri-fin set-up, I do like the quad fin set-up you have on your board..What is going to be the cost of the board after all is done to it?

the board is based on the 5'2" F-One board. I did add more rocker on the nose and tail, the f-one is deff to flat so i altered the rockers to better suit the waves here in Puerto Rico. Still not sure of final cost for the build, will post as soon as i finish the board.
Thnx Ché

Sweet...Good job...Will this be a Strapless kitesurfing board, or are you going to add holes for the pads and straps?...Keep us informed on the outcome of the final product, and how it rides in the waves..I am looking for a kitesurfing board that rides in 3 to 6 ft waves here in central Fla..

Hey Che'...get the board done Dude..Get it on the Waves, and give Us a true report on "how it rides"...Pictures look great :thumb: , but there needs to be Water around the board, on the next shots...Still interested if the board rides like it looks, in getting one, if of course, The Price is Right....

Hey Che'...What are you going to do with the "top deck" when it comes to wrapping it?...Kevlar going to be on the top deck also?...If you need help with that idea, their is a guy in Daytona, Fla. named Buddha of Buddha Surf Shop...He has been making boards with kevlar for sometime now..Got a price on the board, since you have been putting time on this prototype?

Nice work Che.
That blank you used as base to reduce the rocker distortion during curing seems to have a big convex on top. Did that not screw you around and give you a too big a concave on your boards bottom deck once cured ?

Nico

Hola Kitebdr1962
The deck is carbon fiber, same as the bottom. i might try carbon kevlar with color on the next one.
Thnx
