Nice!!
From what I've been reading and talking with others, 2 layers of 6oz might be enough. You can always add a third layer later, if you feel that 2 are not enough.

really happy to see u making your own creation : the size should work great for lite wind it looks like a large session board that is a great choice i hope u epoxyed it together and did not use glue glue does not hold as well but if u did it still will work fine if u epoxy the final coat as for the fins put them 2 inches inward and 5 inches from the tip and tail of the board and that is from the end of board to the center of the fin a slight problem i see is making the center flat and rocking the ends up that will cause it to push a lot of water when u are going forward most boards like that have concave in the bottom a better idea is to clamp only 2 inches of the center and allow the rest to assume the flow of the rise also when using wood less fiberglass is needed if u want to cut back dont put any on thr bottom good luck hope it rips

I don't even use glass. Just 4 layers of 1/8 wood For tweaking the flex the 2 layers in between are narrower and shorter The bigger one just longer than then foot strap screws and about 10 inch wide The smaller on on top: aboutb7 inch shorter and 3.5 inch wide The deck covers up the internal layers
