So I've got two questions...
Anyone ever ride a Mako type board with no fins?
Has anyone made a surfboard shaped like the Mako? I love riding my Mako but want something with a little more volume. Could you make a surfboard type constructed board but shaped just like a mako. Would the thicker rails cause problems? Would the extra volume help?
Anyone got a clue? I don't...

The natural habitat for Mako's is waves and chop. It's pointless riding Mako's in these conditions without fins. I tried and failed. See this thread.
