Surfboard like Mako?

Postby rightguard » Tue Nov 01, 2011 10:48 pm

So I've got two questions...

Anyone ever ride a Mako type board with no fins?

Has anyone made a surfboard shaped like the Mako? I love riding my Mako but want something with a little more volume. Could you make a surfboard type constructed board but shaped just like a mako. Would the thicker rails cause problems? Would the extra volume help?

Anyone got a clue? I don't...

That helps with the fin questions.... What about the rail?

The natural habitat for Mako's is waves and chop. It's pointless riding Mako's in these conditions without fins. I tried and failed. See this thread.
