Unless I'm missing something here, I think you are comparing apples and oranges. Sometimes tests are done with fibers and other times it is resin only. If you look at the "neat" tests (resin only), they are all around 10,000, and the aeropoxy is actually slightly lower than some of the RR resins.
Aeropoxy report 9828 psi.
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/p ... xytech.pdf
and RR reports 9300 to 10800 depending on which resin you refer to
http://www.resinresearch.net/id8.html

Any numbers with more zeros have fibers in them. Which one is "better"? Tough call, I'd have to get out my old textbooks on materials, and try to figure out which of the properties are most important for what we're using.

I can also add that I have used mgs and aeropoxy and the RR ce2000 is so much nicer to work with. The viscosity and low VOC is a nice benefit and MGS335 was already pretty low. Also the additive F for RR really helps wetout the fabric. I can wetout a 20oz triax with very litte effort compared to MGS. The RR also shows no sign of UV damage/fade after 3 years of normal use whereas MGS turns rootbeer colour after a while.

I Like that part Ya just stated !! You got to add the UV inhibitors to the one i use
which is a Pain.

I Do like the range for Pot-life with the MSG though ; 15min to 4 hr is Good.
and it IS certified aircraft quality.

You can also get Carbon cheaper if it's NOT certified, the quality is inferior but
probably doesn't matter for a kite-board ? 10,000 ft up in Bad air ; i want
to know what the machine was made with cause parachutes Suck as
a back-up plan , so everything i have in the compost aria is certified, & you
will never convince me other-wise !
Once again -- it probably don't matter with a board ...

Hey Billie

Give the RR a go. http://greenlightsurfsupply.com/ has good price and stock. Get the additive F for gloss coats and for wetout bliss. Trust me :thumb:

Actually, check the price at www.fiberglasssupply.com it is a fair bit cheaper on 3/4 and 1.5 gallon kits.

I think the delivery charge made the difference last time I checked. Not sure now though.
