To my recollection the limit of fuselage length in surf hydrofoils has been moment needed to turn or trim foils. Rear foil size vs. total wetted surface also an issue...
if 1.5m long will you be able to turn it? If rear foils small enough will you get the drag back in the long fuselage?
Would shorter be both more maneuverable and same/less surface/ same or lower drag?
Interesting.
Try it and see......

If i want one of these, gonna need to build it myself because i don't have money
to burn right now ; so i'd be interested in a "How-To" build .

What Ya making Tone ; what's your design criteria ?

Morning Bille,

Being someone who doesn't do things by half, I am not going to bother with a low aspect beginner foil, I am going straight for the jugular.

high aspect, full on race foil

going for wood/foam core then carbon vac bagging the parts.

I hope to be finished by mid Nov.

I have managed to locate someone with a CNC machine :) so that will help a LOT!

first one is going to be to CNC or hand shape a foam/wood proto and carbon/vag bag that.

Then if that works OK, move on to a fully molded version.

Should be a learning experience!
