3DS

Hey guys,

I scored a pair of FCS 3DS side fins for $10 :) Brand new. Awesome looking fins (yellow):

Do you think they would work on an directional board? I am not into the surfing, never seen anything like it in action.

Do I need tu buy a FFS plug? I was thinking to cut the plug pieces, drill and thread the holes for SS bolts. But, fins being soooo light, there is no much epoxy in to drill the holes.

Ideas? Thx

D.

Those foils look like they will need a high take off speed but they should be good for shallow water, maybe even in waves.

I would buy fcs inserts (cheap) and install them properly. Fcs fins are not very strong anyway so don't tap them. In a pinch you could tape them up, coat with Vaseline and just pot them (plus set screws) into bog in holes in the board but careful of heat if it's eps.

Someone here has them, can't remember his name. He liked them IIRC...
