The mutant is smaller than the tt? Should be other way around. ??
Also five fins is too many for one end of a small board. A fat Tail surf board maybe but not a slim kiteboard IMO...
Also to ride with the round end as tail it needs fins on that end too...
Also don't despair about the round channels, channels Do Not always need to have sharp edges,
Sharp edges work and look cool but also are harder to make,
heavier and less durable most of the time.
Try it with 2 one inch fins on the round end and 2 1.5 - 2" on the tail.
Also try filling in (part or all of) dat gap of the tail, a hair more surface area will help too, especially at the ends.
? Maybe?
Agree with zfennell, 2cm width can make the area difference between go and no-go...

Not saying his channels are the sole reason for anything, just pointing out what I have read is the criterea for channels that work.

In regards of round vs sharp edges I believe you will get better traction with sharp and vert. What about the spoon effect on soft round channels Starsky? Maybe it should suck more and give more traction. :naughty:

duck tape will be my new friend from now on !!

will let you know, will try it channels covered then uncovered, with only 2 small fins.

the channels where sharp on one side and flatt smouth on the other side, but glass and coat made them smouth ! they are not symetrical still !

rails are also diferent on both boards, that's one reason maybe, the mutant has a epoxy round ( radius off 1/4 inch rail wraped. the wooden board has a sharp edge ( sanded only on the top side, not razor like but sharp enought for me to be unconfortable falling in the water and not knowing if the board is going to hit my head ! )

so, release if diferent ! was intended so, to give the mut a more loose feeling ! dont work !

sharp edge rail makes it feel "sticky" usually, and harder to hold power.
You could sharpen round channel edges, by making a modeling clay "dam," in the channel, and filling the space between the round edge and the dam with epoxy/filler, then peel away the dam, voila.

Diggin that bone up for a chew? Sharp and vert... isn't that what I said?

Spoon in full effect on those channels and rails tho, thats the problem, lots o drag, no particular grip.
