I have used a lot of resin systems. My goto resin is resin research. MGS was my previous happy place but RR is allround rockin. West is not all that great IMO....stinky for one.\
greenlightsurfsupply,com is a good source.

get rid of your crappy epoxy. I made the mistake of using cheap shit once. .... infact its still sitting there. i'm back to using the west system.

toaster oven , space heater, electric blanket...
cure the scraps in the bag to see what you are up against.
as someone already mentioned, buy an inexpensive digital scale if you are doing more of this stuff.
i dont have any personal experiece with MIAPOXY.
but i've always found the technical support folks to be very helpful.
the guys that actually design this stuff usually know its strength and weaknesses
... and dont mind sharing
if the resin has not exceeded its shelf life, i doubt you will get any assistance from the store you purchased it from.
but if you are shopping for another brand...
i agree with Big Dog.
Resin Research has a lot to offer.
i would also endorse MAS and System 3
good UV, low blush, good wetout.
WEST is OK. But compared to the others its only advantage is that its easy to find,
