As I understand resin infusion is better only coz of less contact with a resin (if you evacuate vac air elsewhere).
The rest of the setup is more expensive ie a mesh, proper tubes, proper mixing etc etc.
I recon, if one can't build a board with a reasonable results with no infusion, well than the infusion won't help anyway:)
Not so many ski/snowboard builders are using infusion. Pneumatic press is a proven method me thinks.

downunder I agree 100% a Pneumatic press is a proven method ( I have one ) and yes the best way. infusion is a great way to do top sheets for snowboards and skis or even twin tips.
my buddy at shortbus skimboards does infusion on his triax and turns out very very nice. he uses the red mesh ( weeping) which is finer and leaves a wicked finish on the decks.
