@down:
Inverted rocker table (or should we say camber table :D) is an idea I got for building a table for composit Alaia, because it is flat (with rocker) on top, and on the bottom theres a huge concave and tapers around the outline, so this kind of table would be a benefit.

For TTs, judging from this last photo, there would be no benefit, because the top is very similar to the bottom.

Regarding Wood vs. Foam. I would say this is light vs. heavy rider discusion.
I'm 90kgs and that thrashes the foam in the fotpad area.

Stan that is my next step.. a big ass cnc either bought or built. :wink:

I made a sled router thing that I never really liked. I found I could belt sander fast enough but messy as it all is.

Coiler snowbords which made JC Jays olympic boards swear by the belt sander.

I would rather get a bigass cnc table going if I ever get to the point I must reproduce in qty. These days not such a big expense either.

Stan

Yes Zob, the last photo is profiled both sides, but one does not need to do that. Only one side is enough but inverted table would be needed as a simple solution.

No need to carve like michelangelo when it can be done more like origami.
well, origami plus glue...
"Cut" the planes of the core - thin saw (or a razor, with foam)
"Paste" them into the desired orientation nutella or peanut butter (epoxy is not environmental!!!).
Proceed as usual.
Theoretically with a wood strip core you could omit the "cut" step, if you manage to not glue certain strips together along their whole lengths, but this may be easier said than done.
Too many channels are destroying the ozone!
