Is anybody useing a retractable dog leash to leash your board? Does it work in salt water?

usually, they break quite fast.
at least the leashes we tried jammed after a couple of sessions - the salt water is just too much, even if you rinse them after each use. . .

Yeah, i don't think they are designed to take the strain. I contemplated it for a while, but when i had a look at them, they look pretty breakable.

I know someone who uses a dog leash as a reel leash... breaking strength..... depends on what sorta dog these things are meant to restrain. I'm also interested if anyone uses a dog leash as their KITE leash.

one for a medium size dog works well
strong enough & about 24foot of cord
no probs as yet with rinsing it etc .
