Broke my chicken loop Yesterday. I am not too excited about this happening again, therefore I am wondering if anyone can advise me as to what is the strongest and best performing aftermarket Chicken loop out there

The Ocean Rodeo chicken loop , has a piece of tubing over the line, to stop it getting frayed when it's rubbbing off the bar. I suppose that you could cover any of the chicken loops with some tubing, to increase the lifespan and strength of it.

Make your own chicken loop: buy a B&J chicken loop and put a 5/16" inch plastic tubing over the line. Then your chicken loop will last forever. Buy a Holt Bulleye and use this together with the B&J chicken loop.

I've been coating mine with board wax and have noticed it has decreased the amount of wear on the CL sheet.. lubrication is key in both increasing the rope's lifespan and ease of entry when gettin yer brown wings. over and out

Well, you can't do this with Naish's, and they're still using the same thin grey spectra, so it's russian roulette, how frayed do you let it become before you shell out US $30 for a new one?[/quote]

My Naish one went a while ago so I replaced it with it a airrush one I got for 10usd of offdalip. I've yet to test it out as i only use the naish bar when my lines are all twisted and i'm to lazy to sort them out.

If you're talking about the line I suggest you get Spectra line, they're very good, this type of material is mostly used for the wakeboarding rope beacause it doesn't stretch and is very hard to break....and the idea of the wax sounds good too, I'll put some on my line.
