Any kite schools near the South East of Munich ??

Postby mike » Fri Aug 29, 2003 6:51 am

I have a friend who is looking for a kitesurfing school near his location. He has sent me the following :

"I live to the South East of Munich which is in the state of Bavaria in the South of Germany, close to Austria/Switzerland and also actually closer to Lake Garda in Italy than Berlin or Hamburg in the North of Germany. There are several lakes near Munich where watersports are undertaken, such as Chiemsee, Achensee & Walchensee. Lake Garda in Italy as well as other lakes in Austria/Italy/Switzerland are also popular lakes for watersports and could be within reasonable reach, depending on where exactly they are. I have been doing some searching on the Internet and have found very little so far. I did find the website of the IKO and from there I identified a couple of IKO schools in Germany but none are that close really."

Can you help please ?

Mike

Hi,
contact the surfshop "SurfersSpirit" in Unterhaching. They teach on Lake Garda.
On the big lakes in southern bavaria, there is no teaching for good reason, difficult spots, diffivcult and rare winds.
Another, maybe the best nearby spot is lago Rescia in Italy, only 200km from munich.
There is a kiteschool.

have fun,
Thisl
