Hi there,

I'll be staying near Lagos, Portugal in the second week of Sept. and will bring my gear. Using the search-function I've found some info on the region, and found a site, http://www.windsurfpoint.com

Anyone with up to date information, or anyone in the region in this period? All info on the best spots are welcome, especially on the Atlantic seaboard, as I like waves but have understood most beaches are too small to launch (?) CU later... :thumb:

Hi there!!

:bye: You can go to Gallery>Europe>Portugal and see in Dinis RB and Djizasse albums some nice photos from all famous spots around Lagos, like Praia da Rocha, Ria de Alvor, Praia de Alvor, Ferragudo and meia Praia!! I can say to you that this spot are the playground of the Portuguese 2003 Kitesurf Champion!!

Normally at this time off the year the wind is a little bit side-off, blowing from the north - known as Nortada. If you get a good breeze from SE you will get Levante (or Sueste) and you may have some good waves to play around.

I want to help you but I never went to kite at the west coast of Algarve called Sagres, but if in your place I woul get a car I take a look because there are excelent waves and I know that is a spot for the windsurfers (Martinhal)... There you have good waves spots like Ponta Ruiva, Zavial, Martinhal, Tonel, Beliche...

Take a look at:

I think if you go to Windsurfpoint shop and ask for help they would help you (I don't know them!!)

Hope to help you!!! :thumb:

Enjoy your stay (we know you will) and let us know later...
