you're really asking for a fight aren't you?

I think older slingshot kites were overrated, but now they rock.

i thought the 03 fuels were good kites, solid, fast and plenty of power, they were never intended as super highwind depower missles like the x2.

some of the early stuf was lame though.

03 Fuels were not that good, and the earlier fuels were even worse. The 02 Fuels, apart from being the slowest kites I have ridden, were better for jumping and hangtime than the 03 Fuels.

I would say Cabrinha are some of the most over hyped kites out there. also naish in some ways.

Naish I think is overhyped but Cabrinha are really good kites to ride with.
Th eonly thing bad about Cabrinha is that they break easily.

Every brand is over rated. They want you to believe that their products are perfect. I prefer to test the equipment before buying it, but I think that the big brands have all very good kites, it's more a question of personal taste.

I totally agree. All the big brands have good kites at the moment.
All the kites have a slightly different behaviour and that is why you should test and figure out what is best for you

any kite brand is overhyped - in this forum especially North, which seemingly has been noted on management level and come to a break since Xmas. My experience is that there are certain kite models in certain sizes that can´t be overhyped as they are such great !! (R2 20; Fuel 13; X2 12) And that´s what I like the internet for - if you investigate long enough in various forums, you will find the really good kites (model PLUS size) loved by unbiased riders - and the ones to stay away as well ..

aloha

how can you call a toy that can throw you over moderately sized buildings, over rated? These kites are pretty much all good. Just different in somewhat subtle ways.
