These are very different type of straps. Dakines are very hard and the NSI are very soft. Flat pads(WT's) are no so bad as you have more freedom moving your heels around on transitions, etc.
If I have to choose, I prefer the NSI's.
If I have other choices, I would look around a little more.

I like the NSI Adjustable Kochs on my little wavetray.

I thought twice about what a pain in the ass it would be to remove the big pad on the Undergrounds. No way you're getting it off without creating a mess. You're better off sticking with the stock pad and just finding a good strap set.

And like Hernan, I realized the completely locked in feel wasn't necessary or even desired sometimes.

I was used to the SS Doyle anti-bindings, which were very snug and secure, but if you adjust your NSIs right, they'll hold great and are very comfortable, plus allow your heel to drift a little.

I hear the Airrush straps are good too.

Hi,

I put X-Shooter pads and straps on both my WT 137 and SWT 110.

These are nice, very soft pads and very comfy.

Cheers,

Bengan

I use the DA KIne straps and pads on the boards i make, the new ones are alot softer than last years versions and feel really cushy on your feet. They may look very similar to last years but the`ve certainly changed the material on these new ones. :)

Really, underground makes their own straps now and they are very nice.

Personally I like the NSI straps because they are so soft, but I like the new Underground ones just as much too.
If you want to get thr pads sorted, try getting some NSI/Koch footbed pads, or some of the other "foot" shaped pads and cut them into the stock Underground pad, easy to do and looks like like the board was meant to be that way.
