I tried the new 17skoop3 this week.
This kite is more grunty than the 2003 one.
Better low end (1 or 2 knots more low end) and the same high end.
The kite develops more power than last year and turn on a dime.
The kite have now 9 struts (if I remember this is the only one takoon like that).
You have the same fast riding feeling than last year but the kite feel more rigid and performant.
A really performant kite with a wide wind range compare to gaastra and rrd I tried

Well last years 17m started very late compared to other brands same size kites. I hope its possible to park the kite in 10 knots this year.

yes exactly,
this is the reason I prefer really the new one. I had the same problem concerning the low end. The Skoop3 is improved for that. The high end was really huge, but the low end was not good. The new one has approximately the same high end but the low end is really better. Other, the jumps are really longer than 2003 takoon kites.
Other, I noted that they changed the ripstop, really better

for my weight (75kg) the windrange was 10-11knots/20knots,
now with the new one it should more like 8/20knots,

I think for your weight it should be 12-13knots to 22-23knots for the skoop2 17

Hi Frederics,

In what conditions did you fly it? How does it look? Do you have any pictures?

Thanks!

Kitevol: I am selling mine. Cheap & almost new. Interested?

I (90kg) fly the Takoon Skoop2 17m2 kite from about 12 knots, but is those conditions i extend the lines by 10m, and i can fly it to about 20 knots. (Usually by then I'm already be one my 11.4 kite)

sorry I have no pics of the skoop3,

But I'll try next time I ride,

I ride usually in gusty conditions and flat or really small waves conditions.
Before skoop I rode wipika kites (airblast) which were pretty good
