Griffin 2009 - leash attachment?

Postby URSS » Fri Jan 29, 2010 1:55 am

I bought a 2009 Griffin few weeks ago and I love this kite. :D A bargain at 700$ for a brand new kite. :o

On the 2008 model there's a ring attachement under the chicken loop. When you release the chicken loop safety, it trims the kite, removing 90% of the power. There's no such ring on the 2009 model. :-?

Question: where is the safest place to attache the leash under the bar?

Thanks

URSS

you should clip your leash between red ball at the end of depower rope and depower cleat. ball is quite big, so it wont slip trough.

Thank you kovacs,

This what I had in mind... thank you for the confirmation. :thumb:

Though it's not super when the kite is fully trimed, rope is long and can get tangled in the bar.

Anyway, this is a great and a fast kite. You can see it on this clip!! :o

Above the pulley are 2 rings that attach to the 2 inside lines.

This is the safest place.

Always test your gear first :)

Below the bar gives good depower but not 100%
