When you read on the Naish website, do you then think... Ohhhh, what they wright here is bollocks...... ?

Your 90 kg....
You want the most power....

Read their site again.

Btw. Who ever put your 90kg on a Octane..

If you like the Rhino, then i would suggest go for the Raven. The Raven is an awesome kite, id say the Torch this year has become very freestyle specific, and unless you do alot of kiteloops and new school moves then the Raven is the kite for you.

The Raven can still be kitelooped very well, it has a small turning radius, but just not quite as small as the Torch. Id say the Raven is much more fun to fly, and for most advanced riders who only kiteloop occasionly its the better option. The new raven has lighter bar pressure then last years Raven, but not as light as the Torch. The torch has very light bar pressure, which for my riding style was too light, but i can see it will be an amazing kite for freestyle tricks as it turns VERY fast.

Go for the Raven, you wont regret it!

(P.S The jumps on the raven are out of this world!)

I am the same weight as you, I'd agree with the previous post. If you like to ride power kites, go with the Raven. I tried both, and I think they are very similar except the Raven has more raw power. I don't think it is very hard to loop the raven though. Slightly bigger turning radius, but lots of power.

I can;t remeber who coined this (someone here on kiteforum) it was as a comment to the Raven kite: "Landing is optional"....this is a kickass boosting kite.

Torch is also a super nice kite though, I have 14 torch3 that is just awesome. I think it sounds like the 14 T3 or R3 12 meter is the ticket. you'd be powered like crazy :-)

Personally I think its better to have a high aspect kite in the larger sizes and a lower aspect in the smaller sizes. In lower winds the main thing you want to do is stay upwind and jump - you're best off with a high aspect kite for these winds.

It is what I did in 2006, :thumb: good combo and flat kites for smaller sizes.
The only downside is that you need to get dialed with the different turning speed when you jump, not a big deal but worst to mention.

With 90kg and 14-18knots I would say that the 14 and 18 would be the hit, depending on your style... I ride a 12 and 16 but weigh 10kg less...

But you can't go wrong with the Ravens!
