Looks like it was filmed on the Gorge.
It was a pretty small kite used in the demo and not much wind...
I woudn't trust such a contraption. I won't buy this either but I do have two line crawlers, one for each bar. They are great.

regards
Kirk

Inventions start somewhere?,..
and for me it was with this sport Kiteboarding.
Whether or not it is an acceptable device for Kiteboarding I do not know this.

Perhaps at this time the Kitewinder may not be the popular choice for the kiteboarding community; however much interest comes from the small crafts and Kayaks. There is enough interest to move forward with developing the launching device for this market.

It is a way for boaters to use the wind by kite power. The kite can be flown at variable height in altitudes. The kite can be launched and retrieved away from crowds which may please some people. (One does not need a perfect beach)

I understand people may criticize something they know little about and this is OK by me. There are pros and cons about any product developed, as in this product; however using the Kitewinder for small boats will be a step forward for kite powered craft, where it goes from there we shall see.

Thank you for bringing up the subject;
FYI: I do not disagree with anyone’s comments…..

John! Thank you for your reply. I think this is useless for kiteing with a board if you are used to go out on big beaches with good conditions. Now I see your point in use it for boats and kayaks and so on. I think that is great way to use your invention! So good luck and maybe this gave you some free adspace ! :thumb:

J B:
I agree , without inventions we would not be kiting at all.
We should all try to come up with something...

that thing is probably good for land and snow kiting.
Now way it would work in the water...when we f*** up and crash !

I am still working on a self lunch and landing device....hope to have proto soon
if it works, it will be great...if not...you probably see a pic of me in a tree...

hint: no moving parts what so ever...and no, nothing like line crawler or kitelopster....close, but no...

Thanks for the support –
Polo; we are just started to move forward with this project and hopefully it will get “launched soon’.

The Kayak community is very interested, and how fast it gets developed, well… hopefully I will have some answers soon.

Here is a good representation of the kite control system being used for Kite Kayaking. My Kayak is not so stable; but it’s really cool and exiting to use the wind.

FYI: Wind speeds were 18mph gusting to 22mph on that day. Kite used was a (330sq.m twin skin high projected)

Cool, I have a use for it for an old paddle boat I have. Paddle boats are a little more stable due to the weight but could use an easier way to launch the kite in the middle of the lake. Hey you could always sell me the proto , lol. Polo.. :thumb:
