DR beach rocks or sand?

Postby kenzie711 » Thu Apr 26, 2007 1:18 am

Sorry guys- quick question. I'm going to DR next week and was wondering if I should bring any foot wear like summer wetsuit boots for surfing and kiting. I'm not sure if there is reef or rocks there.

Thanks

Spent two weeks traveling the country recently. There's rocks and reefs, but above all, tons of sea urchins. If you're kiting cabarete, you don't need booties. It's a very sandy beach and he reef is far offshore. Anywhere else, I would recommend them. Have fun over there! Watch out for the motoconchos and don't eat the lambí.
